Back-to-School Beauty Essentials

It’s hard to believe that we’re already in August! We love this time of year because it kicks off back-to-school season. It doesn’t matter if you’re in high school or college, there are a few products you need to have on-hand to stay cool, calm, and collected throughout the day. Here’s our list of back-to-school beauty essentials you should pack along with your pens, pencils, and notebooks!

Facial Mist

For an easy cool-down during the day, nothing quite hits the spot like a facial mist. Pack it in your purse or your backpack for an afternoon pick-me-up. Facial mists come in a variety of uplifting and invigorating scents, like citrus, peppermint, cucumber, aloe, and coconut. Do you find yourself suffering from the post-lunchtime slump? A facial mist is a perfect way to rehydrate your skin and wake yourself up with something that is both cooling and smells great.

Lip Balm

If you’re prone to dry lips, few things are more uncomfortable than being stuck at school without a lip balm. Luckily there are literally hundreds of lip balms to choose from so you’ll never be without one. Want something with shimmer? That’s out there. Looking for a medicated balm with SPF? That’s available too. Just want something that smells like strawberries? You can buy that. There’s truly a lip balm for everyone, so head down to the drugstore and buy a few!

Hand Sanitizer

It doesn’t matter if you’re in elementary school or college, other people are germy. Keeping hand sanitizer with you at all times is a great way to keep bacteria at bay. Use it after the bathroom, before a meal, and throughout the day to keep your hands clean. Hand sanitizers come in all sorts of scents and you can even buy keychains to attach them to your bag. Staying hygienic has never been easier!

Moisturizer With SPF

Even in the wintertime, sun protection is important if you want to keep your skin healthy. Buying a moisturizer or tinted moisturizer with added SPF is an easy way to make sure you get that coverage on your face. Dozens of brands make lightweight, non-sticky formulations that are comfortable to wear underneath makeup or on their own. If you choose a tinted moisturizer with SPF, you can use that for coverage and just skip foundation altogether.

Face and Body Wipes

Sometimes during the day things get sweaty. If you’re wearing makeup all day, sweat can lead to oil buildup, which can eventually lead to clogged pores and breakouts. Keep face wipes on hand so you can wipe foundation, powder, and other makeup off your face and let your skin breathe. Body wipes are a great way to keep the rest of body clean and refreshed when you don’t have the opportunity to jump in the shower.

Dry Shampoo

When it comes to keeping your hair looking fresh and volumized, there’s no better fail-safe product than good old dry shampoo. It comes it all different sizes and scents, with options for dark hair, blonde hair, curly hair, colored hair, and just about any other type of hair you can think of. Dry shampoo is the perfect way to deal with oily hair while also giving it a quick boost of volume and texture. Stash a bottle in your purse, locker, backpack, car, or wherever is most handy so you can slay all day long.

Beauty Essentials and Tips for Your Summer Travels!

It’s the middle of summer, which means it’s time for vacations! It doesn’t matter if you’re hitting the beach, going camping, or taking a city break– you’re going to need some beauty products. We know that packing can be a pain. That’s why we’ve created this list of beauty essentials to make it easier for you!

A Sleek, Multipurpose Palette

Owning multiple palettes for eyeshadow, contour, highlighter, and blush is great, but carting them around while you travel? Not so much. Find a palette that combines all of these functions. All-in-one-palettes are compact and give you everything you need to create the look you want. Whether you want neutrals, smoky eye colors, or vibrant shades, there are more than enough palettes to choose from!

Travel-Sized Mascara

Regular-sized tubes of mascara take up space in your makeup bag. It’s also way more product than you’ll need on a vacation. Switch out your standard tubes for some adorable travel-sized versions. If you’re headed to the beach or a humid climate, most brands offer minis in waterproof formulas.

Mini Hair Tools and Products

Want to save space in your suitcase? Don’t pack hefty blow-dryers or curling irons. You can buy travel-size versions of all your favorite hair tools. If mini versions won’t cut it when it comes to curling or flat irons, there are some sleek full-sized options available. For washing and styling your hair, opt for travel-size shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, and dry shampoo. You can also buy small, empty plastic bottles and decant your full-sized shampoo and conditioner into them.

Sunscreen and Products with SPF

No matter where you’re headed this summer, sunscreen is a must-have to keep your skin protected. Mini bottles of sunscreen and spray-on sunscreen are your best bet for easy, mess-free travel. You should also make sure your foundation, BB cream, or tinted moisturizer has SPF included for extra sun protection.

Face Wipes

For a quick and easy refresh that removes makeup, dirt, and grime, get yourself some face wipes! Keep in mind that face wipes alone won’t thoroughly cleanse your face, but they’re great to have around for airplane rides and car trips. Heading to the beach this summer? Wipe that sand and salt off with a face wipe. Going up in the mountains for a camping trip without running water? Face wipes are instant way to feel fresh.
